Red and white "pagoda" calcite from Daye, Hubei, China. Love the shape! The calcite is formed by a large scalenohedral (dogtooth) calcite crystal being covered by a second generation of layered calcite crystals that give it the pagoda shape. Some chipping is present, as shown, but still a nice piece with a great shape
Due to the nature of this product some variations in appearance may occur due to lighting conditions during photography. With it being a product of the earth some naturally occurring imperfections such as cracks and blemishes may be present. I do my best to photograph these items so that you will see any of the above.
